For guided tours head to Battery Hill Mining Centre. The Underground Mine Tour is a hard hat tour through an underground mine outfitted with the machginery used in times past to extract the precious ore from the region’s unique geology.

At the southern end of town, Nyinkka Nyunyu Art & Culture Centre offers a unique cultural tour that covers art, history, bush foods and medicines plus so much more.

If you prefer to explore at your own pace, there are a host of options for self-guided discovery. Be sure to stop at the Tennant Creek Telegraph Station. Wander through the old buildings and learn about the early European history of the area,
