Located 462 kilometres south-west of Alice Springs, the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is home to the world-famous Uluru/Ayers Rock and the 36 weathered rock domes known as Kata Tjuta/The Olgas. The sight of these extraordinary, ancient natural wonders, glowing and appearing to change colour with the rising and setting sun, is an unforgettable natural phenomena to behold.

View the incredible sandstone monolith of Uluru/ Ayers Rock by taking to the skies in a helicopter or light aircraft, or explore it in detail from the walking track at its base and be mesmerised by the textures, colours, rock art and waterholes. Climb onto the back of a camel and experience it as the early explorers once did, hire a bicycle and pedal the 9.6km around or jump onto the back of a Harley and ride the desert winds. There are so many ways to experience and learn about this inspiring region, its landscape and its people.

Anangu are Uluru's traditional custodians and have lived in the area for at least 22,000 years. Learn more about this Anangu sacred site the flora, fauna, bush tucker, ancient rock art symbols and Tjukurpa (dreamtime) stories on a cultural tour. Visit the Cultural Centre to learn more about Tjukurpa and Anangu, watch craft demonstrations, participate in dot painting workshops and purchase local distinctive art.

50km from Uluru/Ayers Rock, ancient and monumental, Kata Tjuta/ The Olgas soars above the desert. Challenge yourself to the 7.4-kilometre Valley of the Winds walk for spectacular views over the desert plains or enjoy a softer option at Walpa Gorge and meander through the ancient conglomerate.
